My Teaching Philosophy

I believe that flute lessons are a beneficial learning tool, not only to improve on the flute, but also because it develops other qualities that are advantageous for outside of the practice room. Through engaging in music education, students gain many valuable attributes such as discipline, creativity, collaboration, time management, problem-solving, and perseverance. As a teacher, I hope to further flute technique and musicality in my students and help them reach their goals, whether that involves preparing for an audition, learning to play a certain piece of music, or continuing their love of playing for fun.
